The sight of that glorious Aston Martin DB5 being driven through a series of Swiss mountain hairpin turns by Sean Connery as 007 had quite an influence, for it made me want to live there and drive those roads. Eventually I did both, though the car was a humble Fiat 124 and my new home became London, not Geneva. Gert Fr�be played the evil Goldfinger, so imagine my surprise when he appeared next to me in a London shop with an armful of groceries, looking like a nice, friendly fellow.
